Cool, welcome to the team!

This DAC will stun you, especially considering its size. It WOWed me, at least!

BTW how long did you have to wait until it got shipped?

Congrats! I'm sure it's going to be awesome. Post a review or impression once you get it.

I guess if you don't mind the size the Apogee is probably a better sounding DAC but it cost about a grand. The Micro is supposed to be pretty darn good and is so small in size and price. This was more pactical for my needs but why not go all out an get the Headroom Desktop Amp Dac combo? It seems to me this is what you realy should get if your gonna spend a grand. Not to tempt you or anything. Heee.... Heee...

Later.
Do!

Mine shipped today too. Fedex says the 24th for mine too, which seems a little long for Fedex ground. I can't wait until it shows up. I loved the DAC at the boston meet. I dunno why it took me so long to order it. Next I have to decide on what amp to get to complete my system for a while. I'm planning to stick with the SR-225 and HD-600. I'm mostly a diy amp guy, but I am tempted by the RSA hornet.

For someone who has ordered the micro dac I was surprised you did not mentioned the micro amp (with the desktop module). Any reason? Thanks.

Initial impressions at the meets have been great but not amazingly spectacular for the MicroAmp. Most people have mentioned that they preferred the AE-1 or the Hornet.

Size and battery life killed it for me. FWIW, I would have gotten the Desktop Module in the amp.

Yeah, I heard it at the same meet, and I didn't like it. It wasn't bad, but being a DIY amp guy, I feel I can get a lot more sound for $300. I don't know what module was in the one I heard, but I preferred the sound of my pimeta, which cost a lot less to build.
