My iPod doesn't like .WAV

It stops every 4 minutes or so to drop the signal out for a few seconds. I'm assuming it's because it doesn't have enough RAM to load the whole WAV file at once, so it has to do it dynamically (or whatever you'd call that).

Or, is my iPod just broken?

I believe it's actually 32MB, and if I read your sig properly you have a 1G player? It won't play lossless. Yes, the problem is well known and there's no way around it. It's MP3 or AAC. That all said, espeically the 1G (I had one until recently) not many would like be able to tell WAV/AIFF from 224 AAC (which if what I'd recommend).

Alright, looks like my asumption was correct. Thanks for the responses guys.

Next up i'm deciding between Shuffle and a 'normal' iPod for the massive storage capacity. I'll probably go iPod, as I like the idea of never having to plug it into iTunes again because it's got ALL my music loaded
