I have a sharper image head phone and the left side is not working anymore unless I move it around I can hear. It ripped and I want to know if there is a way to fix it.
recable as in open up the earcups, remove the original cable, and solder on your own cable. based on what you've said so far, what i just said went right over your head; i'm sure someone else will come to help you soon, but im tired, i'll help tomorrow if nobody's helped by then.
If you have a multimeter and a soldering iron around, there's no reason you can't replace the cable yourself. Just buy yourself a 3.5mm connector plug (I suggest NYS231 series - NYS231BG) and some wire (Silver plated copper from navships on eBay), but that means you'll be ordering from 2 places. If you can pick up the connector locally, it'll save you shipping extra.
If you're in the US, you can always just order some starquad and the neutrik connectors from www.redco.com for fairly cheap.
For Canada, you can get everything at www.takefiveaudio.com, it's a little more expensive, but the choice is better on wire.
A nice guide to recabling Beyers can be found here
If of course, you don't have the tools handy (they're not that expensive if you're interested in starting DIY), you can always ask somebody to do it for you for a price (not offering, sorry, too busy as it is).
