That's correct. 32kbit mono, 22050Hz. And that's the "high speed" connection. It's my local public radio station, KUER. They play jazz tracks every night. I love the programming and the way the show is hosted so much that I can't help firing up the old Foobar to tune in for hours, especially when I have to work late, like tonight. It plays from 8pm MDT until morning.

I even have to switch from Kernel Streaming to DirectSound or the playlist won't load--I guess Kernel Streaming won't stoop that low--too much of an insult. I also never thought I'd be using a mono-to-stereo converter, but I am. How embarrassing.

I'm really licking the bottom. Want to try it out?

P.S. Yes, I know there are better sounding jazz stations on the Internet, but this one is my favorite (darnit). Yes, I could fire up the tuner on my receiver, but it's just not as convenient. I love my misery.

Mine's at 64. It's just a DJ from a forum. Music's good, but quality is lacking.

Don't you just love that 32k tinny-hissy background noise? Makes you feel warm and fuzzy all over. Like some kind of vinyl noise you grow to love. I think I need a Foobar filter to give my 192k that same 32k background noise.

Stay tuned bhd, you'll be hooked.
