I wake up this morning to this:

..I'm a little devastated. I'm home at my parents place, and my 15 year old dog never does things like this. We had bad storms last night, so I think she got worried and needed something to chew on. These were on my chair...

Do you think ETY can repair them at all? A new casing might work. I really can't afford another $150, but I loved these very much!

Now.......eat the dog as appropriate retribution for his/her misbehavior. A little Tabasco works rather well with some breeds. I'd also suggest washing it down with a Medoc.

I feel with you!
Why not just drop Etymotics an email, asking if there are any way to bring them to life again?

That sucks. Who knew your dog was a Shure fanboy.

I'd be very sad if my ER4 was destroyed like that. I bet you'll always put them away is a safe place from now on.

I learned my lesson when I was about 15 and my Basset Hound ate my Senn 414.

I use ER6 in bed. I worry that my little chewer dog Pico (in avatar) will decide to sever the cable with one swift chomp.

I hope you can get those beloved etys back in action.

Bummer. After nearly suffering the same fate myself, I decided to put my IEM into a small metal box when I'm not using them. It preserves them from damage, and somehow keeps the cables from tangling.

Let us know how repairs/warranty turned out.

At least your cat didn't get to them:
