because i'm using my headphones all day long when i'm home.
he sais they are to loud but i'm 100% sure they are not bacause i can still understand people when i'm istening to music with my DT770.

my music has a lot of bass, i think hearing (and feeling) bass makes other people think its to loud.

any opinions about this?

If you're telling us that your dad can hear and feel the bass from your headphones when you are using them, then yeah: you'll be deaf in a few years.

Your Dad is right. Father knows best.

Well, if you keep your music at near or just above conversational volume, you should be fine.

I am particularly sensitive to excessive volume, so it's no problem for me.

A friend of mine says I have "granny ears" when I put my TVs volume at anything other than 11.

I like to put my volume at just enough to be sure to hear details. Any more is just excessive. That should keep my hearing going strong.

Just 11 years left for you then.
Why not spend the time on something enjoyable, like headphones?

Even if you are causing damage, you likely won't feel it.

It is possible to minimize or reduce the potential for hearing loss, but anything good or fun is bad for you in the extreme.

30 is so old anyway. Why would it even matter? Your knees will be shot by then, and you'll be on Viagra as well.

Yeah 30 is ancient!!! As soon as you turn 21 its all down hill. Trust me, I'm ancient. 32 to be exact.

Enjoy your headphones, and by the way if you end up deaf at 60 or so, it just mean you won't be able to hear your wife/husband yelling at you, so all's well in the world.

I think he's probably right. I used to do your same mistake. You should listen to music at low to moderate volume and try to make some small breaks from listening as the higher temperatures in your ears caused by headphones increase the rate of germs growth. Taking them off for a little time would reduce the temperature and would cause less disconfort.
Hope this helps.
