I got this audigy 1 free from my friend, and there is only one problem with it, which made him not want it. The headphone jack only will push in half way into the output, because the gold metal thing on the bottum part of the jack is bent up and over, covering the middle. I have tried everything to push it back down but its not gonna budge, because my friend kept trying to force it in.
*my main question, does anyone know where i can get a replacement output? (the green one)

Anywhere that sells what i presume is a surface mount 1/8 jack - If you're handy with the soldering iron (I take it you are, or you wouldn't be thinking about replacing it) you could even rob one off of an old card

(greetings from fellow EOCF'er)

the jacks themselves are pretty easy to replace, i doubt a computer repair shop would fix it, seeing as how they just replace parts and diagnose problems and such. go to radioshack, buy a new jack and find a friend who knows how to solder.

For the amount of money and effort, you might as well just get a Chaintech or even another Audigy. You should be able to pick one up pretty cheap. I mean sure, if you could do it yourself it'd be one thing, but since you can't...
