my 340 concerns

Sometimes when I listen to certain songs I get a little screeching on the left side..Like finger nails on a cross board.. I had Alex check for hair & he found none. He also tested them out.. It only happens during certain songs.. Maybe different frequencies may cause it.

is it similar to what you hear when you crank DT880's and hear that shrill brightness?

check your volume?/have you taken the foam out of them or anytning?

This is NOT normal. Mine were fine BEFORE (first trials from integrated PS Audio amp) any modding.

My K340 is not modified in any way ('cept for the twist-ties I affixed as position stoppers, as the elastic is shot on mine), and I've yet to hear a screech--I've had them for at least a few years, and still enjoy them regularly.

Can you list some of the tracks you've heard it on, including at which position in the track(s)?

It's really noticeable on Everyones a winner baby by hot chocolate.. During the electric guitar riffs.. Mine is modded..
