Longtime audio person, most serious listening via speakers, but time to time bouts of headphone listening. I have a dozen or so Sennheiser's from HD414 I bought 35 years ago, HD600, but mostly use one of several sets of MX400's. I bought my wife CX300's, but she won't share, so I'm thinking of either another set for myself or an upgrade. My preference is a neutral SQ.
Use will be some combo of night and portable listening, sources PC with Xonar DS card or Sansa Clip+, and I like the canal type for isolation during travel. Newegg has the CX5.00 on sale right now, and I am thinking of going with it, or just another pair of CX300 or the II version.
Any comments or suggestions?
