i've been waiting all week for my replacement ce775 sacd player from musician's friend. i called to make sure they reserved one for me and they assured me they had plenty in stock. well, it has been a week and i just called and they tell me that it is discontinued and they have NO STOCK left. they had not even credited my card back either, i had to ask specifically for them to do it.

i'm pretty ticked right now and my urge to upgrade my source is dead. at least i saved $200.

thanks guys. nebuchadnezzar, thanks for looking those up, but that's a bit more than i wanted to spend. after all the phone calls to mf, running to catch the ups truck with a broken ce775, and waiting all week for the replacement, i'm pretty much done for now. i doubt i'll ever order from there again.

Some of the Best Buys in my area (Dallas) still have a 775 in the SACD demo area. Display models only--nothing in box. But you might be able to get a good deal on one if you have a Best Buy anywhere around. Good luck!

I went to circuit city and they claim to sell them. They only had the display left so I bought it cheap. But they said they would have more in stock so maybe you should look there...
