Have any of you watched the PBS special Musical Minds? It is a very interesting NOVA episode about Our Brains on Music: The Science.
Musical Minds is quite the eye (and ear) opening documentary about how music affects the human brain. In his documentary, Dr. Oliver Sacks reviews four very unique persons who exhibit profound affects from and for music.
Dr. Oliver Sacks is a neurologist, professor and accomplished author best known for his books Awakenings and The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat. His most recent book entitled Musicophilia examines the extreme effects of music on the human brain and how lives can be utterly transformed by the simplest of harmonies.
If you can spare the time, these are very informative and enjoyable. I'm curious who of you that cosider yourselves 'audio-nuts' found something interesting, if not profound, in this documentary.
