What do you all listen to when you're driving? I've found that certain genres don't really go too well with driving, and I'm interested in what you guys listen to.

Currently in my car:
Contraband by Velvet Revolver
Hold Your Colour by Pendulum
Killadelphia by Lamb of God
Train of Thought by Dream Theater
Alive of Just Breathing by Killswitch

Normally I don't really listen to these albums, but my usual choice of post-rock and prog doesn't do to well in a car, I need something with more energy.

Muse
Dream Theater
Liquid Tension Experiment
Daft Punk
Symphony X
Mike Oldfield
Ratatat
Shpongle
OTT
Juno Reactor

Since I have mp3/wma capability, I just burn a couple cds with hundreds of songs and rotate through them. Usually this is enough to keep me happy.

I personally like Steve Vai or Beethoven. Oh yeah, Buckethead is good too.

Whether in the car, at home, in the office, or out and about - I listen to the same stuff.

In the car, I'll make an MP3 CD with about 120 songs on it and keep it for around 6 months before making a new one. Other times I bring my iPod with 6,500 songs and growing.

There are several bands that alwatys make my car MP3 CD player, and in many cases, many songs roll over and over from MP3 CD to MP3 CD. Anyways, the bands I usually listen to in the car:

Opeth
The Project Hate
Grip Inc
The Tea Party
Led Zeppelin
Meshuggah
...to name a few

The songs most listened to:
Ghost of Perdition - Opeth
Hate - The Project Hate
Blood of Saints - Grip Inc

Interesting, but I find myself a lot only listening to the music that my Lightning creates with her supercharged engine.

But occasionally, i will plug in some Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Jonny Lang, Concrete Blonde or Billy Idol (Rebel Yell is awesome)

Some songs have so many covers in so many styles (Holiday Road, Better By You; Better Than Me, Paint It Black, Diamonds And Rust, Puttin' on the Ritz, Wonderful World, etc etc etc) that you could probably make a list of the song's perfect rendition for any possible situation.
