Hello Head-Fi,
I just signed up for five minutes ago and this is my first post.

But to my question.
I'm not the biggest music fan ever, but I really want a great headset that can work for my Mac Mini.
I mostly listen Rap and Dance, but also a bit of Rock.

My budget is 100$-150$.
The thing I look for is, like above, mostly for music, a little bit of gaming (very little) and then a mic so I can chat with my homies over Skype or something xD

Let me break it down so it is easier

-Budget is 100$ - 150$
-Shall sound good with Mac Mini
-Good bas

-Must have a Mic

-It should also work with iMic Griffin Technology: iMic - USB Audio Interface
-Comfortable, 6 hours+ (My current (broken) headset was a pain to have just after 20 minutes)

-It doesn't matter with the look, I only wear it inside my room

That's pretty much it :-)

Thank you for reading and maybe reply to this thread.

Well here's my vote, JVC HA-RX700 + Boom Mic Mod, you can get an idea of the mod here:
http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f4/dt7...5/#post4027549

The HA-RX700's are very cheap yet sound damn good compared to my Turtle Beach HPA2 gaming headset...no contest even just driven thru my creative x-fi xtreme music. They can be had from buy.com for $33 shipped:

JVC HA-RX700 Stereo Headphone - HARX700 - Buy.com

With a little EQ action, and not even 50 hours into burn-in I have plenty of bass for hard rock, rap, classical, whatever I need, more than enough tbh. They're very comfy on my dome, they're much larger than my HPA2's and the sound is very much worth it. They have some acclaim here on Head-Fi and some other forums (try googling them, there's a lot of good out there about 'em). Something I do feel comfortable in recommending now...though that's my first set of cans since going with gaming headsets years ago, I'm gald I reconverted!

I get it know

But are you sure that headset is that great for only 33$?

Well, I will check a bit more, if anyone can recommend something between the 100-125$ range, I be glad

Thx in advance

Have you considered getting a cheap desktop mic like this instead of a headset?

Walmart.com: Logitech Desktop Microphone: Computers

My brother bought one for gaming, and it sounds clear enough for casual chatting. He doesn't need to talk directly into it, either (i.e. he can be a couple feet away).

Then you can spend the rest of your budget on better headphones, without the restriction of having them joined to a microphone. I'll leave headphone recommendations to members who have listened to more models, however.
