I'm writing this as I'm considering the new Msr7b. This new can is using the carbon coated driver technology from the specific edition, something the original did not have.
The only review I can find on the special edition is from reddit. The user states the special edition has better bass response - more articulated and precise with a little more rumble, while the treble is still clear and detailed, but a little more relaxed and smoother.
After reading reviews, the treble is what concerns me, as I've never heard the original Msr7. So I was hoping someone owns the special edition and can verify or deny these differences.
