I just ordered the MS1 and I just started to worry about the comfy pads.
i heard the bowl pads are unlistenable. Is it really necessary to get the Senn pads? if it is, where do i get them?
which comfy pads do the MS1 usually come with?

You can buy and cut your own:

Just do some searches and there are descriptions and pictures of what you need to do.

Or you can get a pair from vwap:

I got a pair from vwap last week for convenience and to see what he does. They are excellent and he’s a great guy to deal with.

With the RS-1’s the Pseudo Flat Pads really rock.

Also the rat shachk 33-379 with a hole that you cut in them sound great for 3.00. I have them on my SR 225.

the ms1's come with comfy pads like the sr-60 rather than the bowls.

whats wrong with the comfies?... they are listenable, unlike for some people who say the bowls are unlistenable for long periods, and the comfies are also err... comfy.

i havent heard other pads but i would imagine these lack soundstage and impact mainly, but at least when you first get your headphones there is nothing really wrong with them... just not as good as original flat pads or the modded sennheisers.
