I see a lot of references to the Alessandro MS-2i, but when I visit the Alessandro web site all I see for sale is the MS-2. Is this, in fact, the MS-2i by virtue of it being the most current version? Also, why are these headphones sometimes referred to as "fat boys"?

Yep they have the old pictures on the site, but you'll be getting the MS-2i. They are called the "Fatboys" because the MS-2i is alot chunkier than the MS-2 - the aluminum housing has some girth to it!

MS-2s are based on Grado 325s. Grado stopped making the 325's and came out with the 325i. Since the MS-2s are based on the 325, to distinguish the new MS-2s, which are based on the 325i, we call them MS-2i.

If you order from Alessandro now, you'll get the MS-2i a/k/a "fatboys".
