Seeing as how others on this site are dissapointed I thought I should chime in with my experience.
I recently tried to purchase items during the black friday / cyber monday sales. During that time, they released time sensitive coupons for the GR07 and Brainwavs B2's.
I was able to add those items with coupons to my cart *BUT* I was unable to purchase those items with those coupons because I was experiencing an error with their website. This error (also known as a BUG in their software) prevented me from completing the purchases in full. It was VERY frustrating because I was able to add the items to my cart and apply the coupon codes but never able to purchase.
What was the error? Every time I tried to complete the purchase I received a pop up message stating I must provide a last name on my order. The only issue was I DID. They clearly had an issue with the forms on their website because I was previously able to place an order using this exact same information.
I submitted support tickets regarding the issue, and I also provided screen shots that showed the issue. They eventually resolved the error but not until 2 days after the sales had ended.
When I told them of my lack of happiness with the situation, their only response was to tell me to try and order again (and pay full price). They said they have a strict policy of not letting anyone participate in a sale after it has ended and all they were really willing to do for me was fix the error in their website.
As a consumer that is used to some amount of customer service, I did expect them to let me take part in their sales (even if after the fact) because there was nothing I could do and nothing I did wrong to put the website in this state. They had a bug/error that could only be solved by them. At a minimum they could have let me purchase the GR07's and the B2's for the sale price because I brought the issue to their attention which allowed them to fix it and ultimately improve the website for other customers.
My advice to others: If you find a problem with their website DON'T TELL THEM ABOUT IT. Let them loose customers instead because they will do nothing for you.
I have a strict policy on supporting businesses that punish their customers for reporting BUGS in their website. Asking me to pay more for an item that I could have saved a lot of money on because their website had a problem IS NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE. It is lacking purely of that.
There was also the issue that I asked them to cancel an order I had already placed successfully before they charged me for it. Instead of just canceling it they removed the money from my account and then made me wait for a refund.
I hope this message rings loud and clear and I truly hope people think twice about purchasing anything from MP4 nation because they don't seem to care about the consumer if they don't have to.
