I just sold my Sennheiser HD580s, in a failed attempt to kick my headphone habit.
So now I'd like to branch out a bit beyond Sennheiser and Grado, and try a few more sounds out there. I did not like the Grados very much at all. Too forward, too much impact. It gave me a headache after listening for an hour. The Sennheisers were a nice cure for that. I liked the airyness and the details of the Senns. The bass of the HD580s was very very nice.
The next set of headphones I buy:
- I would like to have even more detail than the HD580s
- Bass response is definitely a plus, but not a necessity.
- Give me room to grow, if I wanted to add a nice amp or replace cables.
