I figured I'd email Jan to ask him about the Move and here is his response:

"Please don't worry. This is normal behaviour. When turned off the circuitry works like a high-ohmic resistor. There is no current drawn from the battery!

Mr. Meier,

I recently purchased your Move headamp and I've got a question for you. Even when the unit is turned off, with music playing through my MP3 player, I hear sound coming out of the headphones. It's very quiet so I'm assuming this is probably a part of how the unit is made. This sound comes through always no matter how long the unit has been turned off.

Is this normal? And, does this have any draw on the battery life?

I would have been more concerned about the headphone drivers, but I would assume that since Jan did not say anything about it that it is not an issue.
