He was lucky to get that podium, another 200 yards and Tony Elias would have been past him.
Good riding from Elias coming from a way back after err knocking Rossi over

He must have felt pretty bad about that judging by the way he was pleading
for Valentino's forgiveness at the end of the race.

And didn't Loris Caparossi do a fine job, good solid win

Looks like its going to be another great season for all classes

Hey guys, thought about starting a new MOTOGP thread but seems like somebody beat me to it! Here is an update of the championship so far! Seems like Marc Marquez (what a rider!) is much more mature this year and ultimately aiming for the crown at the end of the year rather than race win glory. Do you guys think Rossi still has a chance? Lorenzo? Who will be the dark horse in the next races, can Dani win again?

I am a big Yamaha fan, always have been and I am really looking forward to next year and seeing what Maverick Vinales does on the factory Yamaha. I told a friend of mine several years ago when Maverick was riding the 125's on the team owned by Paris Hilton to watch that kid he was going to be a GP star.

With what he has done this year on the Suzuki next year Marquez will likely have his hands full

Yes! It will be really interesting to see what Maverick can do on that factory spec Yamaha next season, since I can't help to think that Suzuki is letting him down a bit when the temperatures get hot, the bike seems to slide a lot and in general is loosing traction out of the corners. Also next year will be full of exciting prospects I think, Iannone on the Suzuki, Rins coming from moto2, Zarco as well, Lowes from moto2 and well the biggest surprise of all, Lorenzo on the Ducati! If everything clicks for Maverick, we could have another alien on our hands. What do you think of this years championship? Japan race is coming this weekend!

What a race! Couldn't believe that Marc Marquez could win the Championship in Japan, loved the celebrations after. What a weekend in general though... some nasty crashes. Dani Pedrosa breaks his collarbone again... Laverty had a brutal crash and Lorenzo got airlifted to hospital after a crazy high side. Seems like the Michelin tires are a bit dangerous, perhaps they have more difficulty getting the right temperature. Scary stuff that is for sure, these guys deserve all the money they get, not like football players
