I think we all know what the most ridiculous album of all time is.

Kevin Federline's rap attempt from a few years ago...(he's probably already a forgotten name)

Also, for any metal fans.. the glam metal turn from Celtic Frost in the late 80s was an absolutel disaster. Wayyy worse than Priest's Turbo from a couple years before.

Discovered recently, this other quite soothing album.

The Gerogerigegege night album.

It's about someone pooping. Well, if you must absolutely listen to crap, then this is the best album.

Found this one recently - http://blog.wfmu.org/freeform/2007/08/365-days-238---.html

"Music to Suffer By" - aptly named!

(here's more of the story behind it: http://www.tinymixtapes.com/delorean/leona-anderson-music-suffer)

Entertaining ... But if you must suffer, I'd recommend this album instead:

Great idea for a thread.  These two MUST be in any such list.  They're treasures to be cherished and protected...

You haven't lived until you've heard Shattner's "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds."

No, the thing  I found ridiculous, is the claim that listening to white noise would be soothing.
So many dubious "new age" cd on the market, but this one exceeded my expectations, it couldn't be dumber than that. I've seen so many "healing music" cd, with binaural beats, wind chime, tibetan singing bowls... etc... Often these cd are musically uninspiring, and have no effects on health . Basically if you have NO musical talents , and wish to makes some money; then just do some weird noises and claim it has some healing effects. I'm just amazed that a company would  be enough audacious to SELL , white noise, and claim it to be SOOTHING.

This just reminded me of a quote: I'm addicted to placebos. I'd stop taking them, but it wouldn't matter.

In the same vein as this, the Discharge album "Grave New World."  Woof.
