K1000
Although I would classify it as ear speakers (not headphone).

The K1000 definitely are the most open. Even sennheisers keep your ears very warm (not a bad thing up here in the chilly Bozeman weather).

Well now... those are nice phones. Too bad they are hella expensive... not to mention I don't see any retailers for this kind of stuff
They have to liscence their retailers to approve them to sell this thing? Daaamn..
Well now... is there anything else out there, that is pretty cheap, and is easy to find?
I'm looking for comfort and coolness (as in temperature) and don't really give much of a regard for sound quality.

Comfort without soundquality
I guess we all have different priorities.
Grados are very open, but not so comfortable.

K1000s too expensive?
Try Sony MDR-F1 then. It shouldn't be as hard to find. It's still a few hundred though.
Still too much? Try Koss PortaPros.

The open Sennheisers are very open. You can see through them.

If you wear closed heapdhones for a long time and compare them to most open headphones, you will definitely notice the difference, especially during a hot sweaty day.
I use to wear some big closed sony heapdhones (can't remember which model). I would have to remove them after 20 minutes because heat builds up in the enclosed cavity. This problem was resolved after purchasing my first open sennheiser headphone.

Too cool your ears = take the headphones off your head for about a minute. 300 bucks saved right there
K1000's are probably the most open headphone you can get as the pads that hold them to your head don't even touch your ears.

awww... a full minute?
Screw that man.
Maybe some waterproof phones? (the Ety 6 look like I could dip them partway into the water)
Just dump them in a glass of ice for a few seconds.. eh?... I always like cold stuff on my ears.

I got a pair of Sony MDR-F1 yesterday in the mail and they're definitely very open and comfy.
Problem is to get them and price is around 200$ new.
They're cute too and the construction quality is top notch
