Hello!

I am an audiophile with a passion for horn speakers. Vintage hornloaded klipschs, altec lansings and etc are my favs.

I am thinking of getting a headphone set and thus searching for a can that can sound like horns.

I have narrowed my search down to either the Sony SA5000 or the RS-1.

Unfortunately, no stores in my country carry the 2 above mentioned cans. Therefore, I am willing to take the risk and order one of them.

So guys, which of the 2 cans would you recommend for a horn lover? Or perhaps you might even want to recommended yet another can..

I readed "Most horny-like sounding cans" at first... Not only im blind but also dirty.

Anyway, both are quite bright headphones. No personal experience with RS1, but I do know Grados. They are aggressive, but also very sweet in mids, so I guess they might work really well with horn music. SA5000, again no personal experience, is considered by some as very analytical and cold, brutally detailed at the cost of musicality. I have no idea how it could work with horn-stuff.
