Yamaha didn't get it quite right with them, but for a boatload of fun listening
my vote goes to their Pro 500 model (discontinued about a year ago).

Crystal highs, a jammin bass - everything you listened to on them took
you for quite a ride.

Ultimately it was just too much

I think that would be the HE-1 for me.

My first really fun headphones were the Sennheiser HD598c's. Still the best bang for the buck home headphones, IMO.

Then came the Grado's. First the SR325e's and now the GH2's.

The most "fun" headphones i've ever heard was the Hifiman Jade II. it was so good, i couldnt put them down when i was at the audio show. i was litterally hogging them to myself for a good hour until my dad got tired and wanted to look at other booths before going home.

I would like to buy the Hifiman Jade 2, i think they would be the perfect end game for me however... I also got to try the Hifiman Arya and Hifiman Susvara and they were FAN-TAS-TIC! however. they're planars not electrostatic... also the susvara is way more than i can ever afford.

so for me, its a tie between the Jade 2 and the Arya for most fun headphone ive heard all year. (so far)

OK, the most fun I ever had listening was to the MrSpeakers Voce. The best headphones I ever heard.

The most horror I ever felt was listening to the used Audeze LCD2-2C I had just bought ($700). Thankfully Amazon strong armed the seller and I got a refund. Fun house rubbish.
