They look great, I like that finish a lot.

I got my Matte Silver Katos, so beautiful to look at.

I should have got 2 pairs, one to hold in my hands and look at and one to listen to.

The foam tips create a much better seal for me than the silicon tips. If you feel like you are missing some bass, I recommend trying the foam.

When I move the drivers with my fingers there is no difference in sound with the foams, but with the silicon I can hear the sound change.

Oh nice. I am using spring tips for my three favorite IEMs right now (Timeless, Kato and T3+). It takes time for me to get used to it because it just sit on your ears and feels like you don't get enough seal but the seal is there.

as far as I know they were always going to release them separately.

The Kato sounds wonderful. I know its a cliche statement, but it feels like the music is in the room with me, like the sounds are produced by things around my house and not inside the earphones. I thought there was a truck outside because the bass seemed so physical to me.

What we said earlier was that “the replacement metal nozzle was intended for customer service only”
Springs tips was previously reserved for service only because we can’t fulfill production of spring tips for KATO themselves.

The Kato's sound magical. Consider me a Moondrop fanboy.

I listened to so many earphones and headphones and maybe my LCD2 come close, but don't have that magical sound.

I prefer the foam that came with the Kato and the extra preorder balanced cable is also better than I expected. I feel it an upgrade over the standard 3.5mm. Had to get a 4.4mm adapter before I could try it. Kato is not an S8 but awesome for a single dynamic, especially at the price point and likely the best choice for more moderate players/ phones/PCs without VG DACs.

I was disliking the spring tips too at first. It felt weird like a combination of spinfit and azla xelastec. But luckily I kept using it and now it is one of the most comfortable eartip I've ever used.
