The ikkos look beautiful but measure like the oh1, and the moondrop flagship measures similar to their other earphones as well.. Seems like you’re just paying more for the jewelry appearance.
FR is not everything in the sound, there is stage size, positioning , THD, amount of air moved, dynamics, transient response and so on, the illumination has a lot of vents, seems like a very open earphone, it will be interesting to hear how it performs in terms of soundstage size

True, but it is the most important aspect imo. I don’t care how much treble extension a product has if it can’t produce it without making my ears bleed. Most iems should have decent technical performance once you get into the $100s.

Illumination looks intriguing. I was hoping (or expecting) for beryllium DD. Could LCP diaphragm be worth the cost?
We are not fans of pure beryllium up until now.(since they cannot make diaphragm that's thin enough)

There's one Japanese based name as "HIKARU", but as we have many US customers, we didn't make that the official name.

Thanks.
Also wanted to know, does the wooden faceplate make any changes in sound?
Purely just for looks. Not altering any sound

Not sure the Etymotic will be anything like the Starfield. If you could get the fit right and the cable right the Blon 03 is very analogue in sound. The Starfield is quite 'analogue' to me, so brighter IEMs may not suit you, or you may have to get used to them. If you want to go for a single BA that are worn down, the NiceHCK dt100, with the right tips, are a big surprise.
I agree ... I guess I am one of those treble sensitive specimens. I played with EQ a bit. Simple drop around 8k (5db with Q2.3) makes them much more acceptable for me. I guess I will pass after all - I want simplicity: one IEM for home, one for the road

Got the Starfield. Fit is so so, and for me it becomes tiring after 30 minutes (compared to shure IEMs). Sound is good for classical music, some vocal, but I too find it too bright and thin (sometimes splashy?) to be used as all rounder. I would prefer a few db more bass and a bit more polite top end.

I like AKG K371 - which is supposed to follow harman target. To my ears - Starfield (which is also suppose to follow harman curve) sounds much thinner and brighter.

Would appreciate any suggestion for XL tips - as an upgrade over stock. I don’t like foam and prefer silicone. Would consider foam if they tip signature to warm side significally.

You could try breaking them in. Let them run for the recommended time. Run your playlists from your laptop or something like that for a few days.
