i think the regular Kanas is a side grade, they use the same driver and body just with different damping to lower the bass level on the pro version
@chickenmoon have them both, he can confirm

They are very similar, more bass on the regular and that's by far the biggest (perhaps the only) difference in sound. The upper mids plateau might also be just a tad more elevated on the regular.

I wish I had the kanas to compare with the kxxs. I can say the sub bass on the kxxs is very good. It sounds like a very high end stereo system, Very clean, clear and has depth. I'm not sure how to explain it but it sounds deep and far away somehow like there is space around it.. My NHB-108 sounds like that but much more so.

i know what you mean about the bass, very clean, not the fastest but it sound like very good musical subwoofer, is rumbly and smooth, airy kind of bass that is spread out, hard to explain but i want it again, that is the reason why i bought the Kanas

I love listening to my KPEs for hours everyday but I would kill to have your 2 channel setup.
Your Cornwalls must sound amazing powered through your NHB-108 clone , they are $2999.00 each here in Canada.

I got it on aliexpress for around $680 shipped a few years ago. I just found the cheapest one on there. The only thing annoying is the extreme break in time. It sounded so bad when I first turned it on. I thought I got ripped off but after 500hrs it came alive. Well it came alive before that but it didn't stop changing till 500 hrs.

Actually the NHB isn't a real good match for the cornwalls. At lower volume it's great but I can't take the mids with it loud. It rocks with movies. It sounds holographic. Cornwalls need a dark amp to be played loud like tubes or older harman kardon amps. I have an hk930 from 1973 I think that goes great with them but it doesn't have the magic of the NHB.

Dark warm amps on horns doesn't sound dark at all, it sounds just like the moondrop's.
