hi, just wanna ask whether the monster turbines are durable? as in im most afraid of the wires fraying/breaking or earphones themselves dying after a short while...cuz the turbines dont seem to have much, if not none, strain-relief components on them. heh im looking for durable earphones tat will last really really long, with moderate care. (i always coil and keep my IEMs in pouch) :)))

I own two sets of Turbines, the originals with a straight plug and the recent model with an "L" shaped plug. I've read about durability issues but I am careful with my equipment. Honestly, I keep waiting for them to fail but in a year of daily use I have had no problems. I have had one failure with Monster Jamz but had great customer service and replacement under warranty. There are companies offering twice the warranty periods but the Turbines are some of my favorites especially with Comply T400 foam tips. I would buy new Turbines from an authorized dealer to protect my investment.
