Monoprice Monolith M1060 and M560 Planar Headphones

I just picked a pair of these up with fuzzor mod. Should I remove the mod? Does it make much difference at all? I did swap the pads with some zmf pads which seems to make them more comfortable.

I think the fuzzor mod is one of the best out there for taming the transience and peaks in the treble. This is especially true if you modify or remove the foam behind the grill.

Just received some ZMF oval lambskin for my mk3s but decided to play with them on my M1060s for a bit:

I'm shocked at how much I like them over the stock pads. Vocals and low end seem more articulated and detailed without notable downsides. Any minor harshness on the stock pads have been smoothed even further. My pair have been extensively modified as some of you may know so it may not react the same but pretty blown away by the improvement... I might have to abandon my Mk3 again...

Nice impressions. I'm a firm believer that Monoprice's stock pads hold back their whole Monolith headphone line.

Agreed. Basically any pad I try sounds better than stock. Got a beat-up pair of Audeze Vegans that I'm doctoring back up to try next. Currently rocking the MrSpeakers Alpha Dog Pads and love them. I'm going to be doing a comparison between the Dekoni Elite Velour vs the Audeze Vegans soon.

Looks nice with that color! :)
I have just released the newest version of this hexa grill.
My problem was that the top surface of the round frame could not be printed to be totally smooth. Now it seems to be solved. :)
It has more convex shape, that results only circular head movements to the printer. Pics soon.

I'm using the V3 of this grill design and I love it. If V5 is even smoother people should definitely try it.

There was a link a few post back on here or in the M1060C. Ordered it from AliExpress. Took about 2-3 weeks to get from China.
Is it more comfortable for long listening sessions?
