I was about to purchase the isine 10, when i came across the monolith m300. I can get some 10s for $250 new, but i can get new m300s for $150 new. I couldnt find anybody online comparing the sound. Does anybody own both and if so, are the isines worth the extra $100? I will be playing them with an LG v20.

Did you go with iSine or Monolith? I didn't want to shell out the additional dollars for iSine because I was on the fence regarding the overall design fit-up. I was particularly worried about the ear clips. I bought the Monolith M300s as a less expensive way to experiment with the very promising planar IEM concept. I also chose the M300s because I am really impressed with my Monolith M1060s. As I suspected, the ear clips were problematic for me. The Monolith clips are flimsy, break easy and were uncomfortable on my ears. We have a 3-D printer in the house so I set to work right away making custom ear clips. It took a few tries but I have those M300s right where I want them. They are comfortable, stay on well, and sound great. I don't feel a need to upgrade at this point because I am quite happy with the M300s. I will one day try the iSine 20s to see if it's much of an upgrade. If the 20s are a big improvement, I wouldn't hesitate investing in iSines now that I have figured out how to print custom ear clips.

I paid the big bucks for the isine 10 shortly after i originally posted this. God were they worth it. Ive never heard the m300 so idk if they are up to snuff with the isine, but the 1060s supposedly compete with 1000 dollar lcd 2 or even lcd x headphones, so the m300 should in theory sound as good as isines. What did it for me was the Audeze name brand, the pride in seeing the name on everything, the box, the sexy ass carrying case, even on the little velcro thing that holds them in a coil. The unboxing experience was so cool i tell you. Also, aesthetic, i couldnt stand the look of the m300 but the isine look very stylish. Ive heard some people say that the isine 20s are better than the 10s, and ive heard other people say they couldnt hear any difference blind. I dont think the isine 20 or 10 would be worth it if you already have the m300, since that brand is amazing at sort of copying audeze and making products that sound just as good for cheaper. You could save the money for lcd i4 haha(2500 dollars? Ludicrous!). Also, im assuming the m300 copied the clip idea too because mine are also uncomfortable if i dont put them on just right.
