I couldn't see another thread for these - or even discussing them - so thou shalt createth one. Product listing on the Monoprice site here.

No more info on specs that I can find but I assume they'll be similar to its open brethren. Time to place our bets on the weight! I think we could have our first 1kg can here, hence why I've been putting in extra nexercises in preparation. My neck will be ready.

I don't really expect these to hit 1kg but the open back version is already pushing 700g so we'll see!

Edit: I also just noticed there's the M1070C version listed too. It looks almost identical to the 1570C except for the connectors.

Both listed with an ETA of 12/1/2021.

Followed. Really interested to see how the closed back variants are Almost pulled the trigger on the M570. Glad I waited. Hopefully these have similar change in characteristics that the closed Audeze's have over their open counterparts.

Just as an FYI for anyone interested in these, both the M1070C ($299) and M1570C ($399) are both on sale on the Monoprice Black Friday ad for the same price as their open counterparts.

Is the M1570C using a different driver from the original M1570. Here's the specs from the M157C:

and here's the M1570:

6dB difference in sensitivity. We might have a M1060/M1060c situation.

Maybe. The impedance remains the same though, so It might also be added dampening resulting from trying to tune it, since the closed variant is less sensitive. Hard to say without tearing down both.

The M1060C was a bass slam monster. Ill be interested to see how these new Closed models turn out.

Oh man. As a slam head, I can only hope. And one of the most common sacrifices that I've seen about the M1570 in comparison to the LCD line is that lack of slam and punch. So if Monoprice can improve that then the Audeze's become a hard sell.

That weight for real or is it the shipping weight?
I'm pretty sure those listed weights are real. I own a M1060, M1060C, and M1070 and can confirm they are all quite heavy*, especially the M1060C.

*This conclusion was based on my very unscientific test of holding a 480g tub of protein powder in one hand and the headphones in the other and concluding the headphones felt heavier. Lol

Anyone bought these yet? Any new online reviews?
The crickets are chirping, right? :smirk:

I have the nagging feeling I may be "forced" to buy them while they're still on sale, which I suspect may mean today as I'm not confident the $399 pricing for the 1570C will extend beyond Cyber Monday. I'm just so sure it will fall very short of the LCD-XC I'm also considering....

I was Very happy with the 1570's, but they had the bad fortune to be followed up by the HE6se V2's. Poor little buggers never had a chance.

I remember that! :) You were quite high on the 1570's but then you pulled the trigger not he V2's and they eclipsed the 1570's -- but I suppose they honestly should since the sale price for the HE-6e V2's is still substantially more than the sale price of the 1570's -- in fact, your experience with that cooled me on the open 1570's, but I'm still just a wee bit curious about the 1570C closed version -- might they eclipse my LCD-2 Closed?
