Hi everyone. I love my new Momentums, but I have a technical/mechanical question: the chord that runs from the earcup to the headband is twisted in such a way that it rests on the headband. I worry that it will eventually wear it out or cut it. One side does this, and the other side coils nicely so as not to touch it. Am I being too OCD? That's a definite possibility...

I should add the headband metal is quite sharp.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about this even slightly. 
These cables hardly move ever, so the actual amount of 'wear and tear' is next to nothing.

Good to know. I don't know why I worry about those small things so much - just have had so much bad luck with electronics I tend to get paranoid. Thanks for the reassurance.

I'm really happy with the build quality of the Momentums. I've had them since November (I think) and even had them in the rain a few times. No problems.
