Hello everyone !  Newbie here..im not an audiophile or an audio expert or anything...im just a normal guy who likes to listen to good musics and sounds. I stumbled upon this site looking for help on my  problem.

Couple of months ago, I bought a pair of Sennheiser Momentum 2 Wireless Over-ear Headphone. I based my decision on the great reviews that I've read about it. Indeed it is a very good product, the built quality is very solid & very nice, it's very elegant...and the sound...man it's great  !  Though it's pricey, i think it's worth it. I enjoyed every moment using it.

Then suddenly, 3 days ago, it went dead. After I charged it, it wouldn't turn on. (By the way, I'm using a cellphone charger to charge it as it didn't came with its own charger.)  I tried to plug it again to the charger...normally the LED light would light up when it's being charged. But this time it wasn't. I checked if it was the charger that has a problem but it worked perfectly on my phone. I plugged the headphone on my laptop but still it wasn't charging. I tried it again on the cellphone charger, even leaving it plugged for a couple of hours. But still it wouldn't turn on. What I noticed was the right cup felt a little warm after that. Though I can still use it with its audio cable, it's not wireless anymore. And the noise-cancelling won't work on cable.

Anyone here experienced a similar problem with their Momentum 2 Wireless  ?  Can you please help me  ?

Sennheiser don't have a service center here in my country.

I hope this problem can be still rectified so that my hard-earned money wouldn't be wasted.

Hello @schuey! Welcome to Head-Fi!

I'm not sure what country you are in, but you can check their service partner list here. If you can't find one near you, I'd suggest contacting one of the locations in the list which have a Sennheiser domain name in their email address to see if they might be able to put you in touch with the appropriate contact. I've found Sennheiser's staff to be extremely helpful when I've needed their assistance.

Hey! from 2024, I have experienced the same problem with my headphones too (M2 AEBT) same brand! had the same experiences too with "I tried it again on the cellphone charger, even leaving it plugged for a couple of hours. But still it wouldn't turn on. What I noticed was the right cup felt a little warm after that." I also use the wired since it wont also light up :P and since its been 8 years, do you have the answer?
