I don't think so, there was a thread a bit back about a guy who recabled his Senns with Mogami. I think it'll work out nicely

I use Mogami 2964 as my digital and it beat out some pricey digital cables.

Other Mogami cables uses:
Mogami 2534 for analog interconnect
Mogami 3103 for speaker cable
Mogami 3082 coax for speaker cable (like Belden 89259 twisted pair)

They are cheap and good just like Belden and Canare.
Many recording studios use Mogami so they cant be using crap.

I use all 3 brands by the way.

yeah ive got 2534 w/ neutrik connectors, not gold plated - i guess im still trying to get past the gold-plated stigma - at the very least im using balanced cables

i've used mogami cables before - the microphone ones are decent i suppose, but there is a better alternative out there: canare star-quad l-e46s.

i prefer canare over mogami due to the simple fact that the former has a braid shield while the latter has a spiral shield - braided shielding provides more coverage from rfi/emi than spiral. and spiral shields tend to 'spread out' [ie uncoil] and provide even less protection when the cable is flexed as time goes along.

and wrt fllexibility, i've not noticed any differences btw the 2 types.
