I have had a Modi 2 that would not work with a Dell M6700 laptop no matter what I tried.
I tried hubs both powered and unpowered, Usb drivers from every source imaginable and a few that were kind of sketchy, adding an expresscard usb controller, voodoo rituals and an exorcism to no avail.
Then today I installed build 1809 that just released and the clouds parted, the sun came out, and angels started singing (well maybe it was just what I had queued on foobar).
The Modi was immediately detected on boot and shows every bit rate from 16/44 to 32/192 in the settings console.
If you have problems with the Modi with Windows 10 - grab this new update as quick as it becomes available to you as it seems to resolve the issues.
