Mod Linkwitz Crossfeed sound

Ive had the modified linkwitz crossfeed in my PPA for sometime now, but i hardly use it. Whenever i do turn it on, the typical volume levels drop, however the treble level also seems to be greatly reduced giving everything a muffled sound. I was just wondering, is this normal? Everything was built on tangents PCB, with stock resistor values and stock uF values on 250V orange drop caps.

i also thought i had miswired the switches leading from the linkwitz xfeed, though i checked and double checked and everything seems to be correct- however whenever S2(enable and bypass) is enabled, crossfeed is only activated when s1(high low xfeed) is not connected at all. If s1 high low and common wires are connected to the switch, it seems to bypass the crossfeed. I am currently using on-on 3pdt switches for both the bypass and crossfeed level settings (one set of lugs are for activating an LED). Any ideas?
