i plan on buying a  MixAmp Pro TR Xbox one 7.1 DSS from amazon or somewhere else.

i have an un opened pair of white m50x's in its box.

i heard with the mixamp everything sounds better including m50x which will be clearer then any Astro headset.

i was planning on getting the mixamp and a set of Fidelio x2 but for reasons i cannot have a open back headset so please don't gloat those headsets in here for the moment.

i ask simply what is the best Closed back headset i can combine with the astro 7.1 DSS MixAmp Pro TR?

or am i pretty set with m50x?

Just different compatibility, from what i gathered a ps4 can have devices and or headphones/sets work by plugging them in via usb and have no issues.
Whereas with the xbox it seems toslink is the only option, therefore something like the astro mixamp seems to be essential im still a little confused as to why the latest generation mixamp in not recomended as it seems to have a toslink input but apparently i should aim for the mixamp pro tr which is an older model, but i dont know much so i could be wrong.. i just dont know what the difference or pros and cons are between xbox one sources or dac's

I dont own an XBone,so I cant comment, but Im sure there are 7.1 devices, such as the older Mixamp Pro that can work with it....add in any easy-to-drive headphone and get your game on.

Philips X1/X2 both work real well for both competitive gaming and the bass adds the fun factor too
