Minimum age to get customs

Hi all,

Would like some third party opinions on this question as stated in the title.

Would like to know if there is a recommended age to get customs? Afraid that as you grow older your ear canals might enlarge and hence wasting getting a pair only after a couple of years as it might not fit then.

customs, or custom earplugs need to be replaced every 2-3 years because of changing ear canals. Regardless of age. So if this is a problem, don't buy them.

I'm also wondering this to. Do ears grow more rapidly until a certain age, in which replacement frequency would be more than every 2-3 years?

i thought its better to go past your growing age (maybe 20 or so) so that ear canal will be "stable" and will not waste your money changing a new pair if you get it while youre still growing and canal gets larger.

if thats the case maybe ill consider getting customs... : )

Couldn't also just keep sending them in for remolds as needed? I suppose this would only really be worth it with a really high end pair of customs, but it would be a lot cheaper then replacing the entire 'phones every couple of years...

How are you getting for the money for customs when you're below 18?

I ask because I'm in the same boat -_-
