For those of you that have heard both or have both, can anyone comment on which of these would be better? I'm doing my best to resist spending too much money on a amp. I know for most of you this price range is not really where you spend your time.

This amp would be used with DT880 or AH-D2000

Thanks for your help.

I have not heard PA2V2 but I have mini3. The mini3 amp performs on the same level with more expensive amps. So I think, that the pa2va not even in the same weight category. Also I have D2000 and love them with mini3!

Just my 2c

I own a PA2V2 and demo'd Ti's mini^3 at a meet.

The mini^3, AD8397 config is well worth the extra $$$ over the PA2V2

In terms of performance, I'd say the Mini3 is easily the superior of the two. It is, overall, a great value as far as amps go. I'm quite happy with the one I built a couple weeks ago.

I already love it from the lineout of my ipod. Should I post some pics, since I've never found any of the Rockhopper build or anything besides the AMB site really.

It was $125 shipped. I got the gain 2 version but there's a gain 5 version as well. Comes with the AC adapter. Also comes in silver

I didn't take a picture of it because I forgot, but the LED's on the front and back are orange

Edit: This is my first amp, but I could tell the difference immediately, right out of the box. MUCH better bass and separation with my MS-1's. I'm really happy
