The HD 400!
I bought these on sale, marked down from $.99 at a 'going out of business' Wherehouse store in Thousand Oaks, CA.
I don't really know why I picked them up as I do know that these cans suck, but I figure its gotta be worth more than a pack of gum?!
The build quality is just substandard. The likes of Jensens and Cobys. I like the idea of the self-adjusting headband though. I had no problem getting a good fit. The blue earpads are very ugly and had a rough feeling to my ears.. The cables are very cheap and thin. I can probably pull them in half quite easily if I wanted to.
The sound quality is better than I expected. When hooked up to my iPod, the first things I noticed was that they were quite musical. Be it good or bad, is up to you. I found the vocals to be very recessed and masked. The bass is there, but thats about all I can say of it. I'll probably get the most enjoyment listening to dance / trance music, as the vocals are minimal, and music like that is not really for critical listening.
I'm not gonna keep these. I will likely offer them to my office mate who is going by with AAS (American Airlines Specials) cans
