Depends on where you live. In North America, it's the remote without the LCD. I think in Europe and Asia, they get the LCD.
BTW - The n707 does not have the lineout option. You'd have to go up to the N1 for that.
LP4 is more like 64kbps MP3. Some music is fine, some really suffers. It's OK for jogging or non-careful listening.
At work, I listen to MDs recorded in LP2. LP2 is a great balance between quality and fitting stuff on a disc. I usually get 3 full albums or 2 full albums and half of another (if they are long) on each disc. I'll pack 2 discs for the day. Works great for me.
Even though the LP2 compression looks worse on paper than a 128Kpb MP3, it sounds much more musical to me. To me, there is something unnatural about MP3s played on a PC or portable.
SP mode is very high quality, but I rarely use it because of disc space.
