I inquired with the seller of a mini^3 in the classifieds. Would this amp be a nice upgrade from my go vibe5. It is the high performance edition w/ gain of 5. I'd be using it with HD650's, SR225's, and Alteec Lansing IM716's.

I have listened to the Mini^3 made by Rockhopper and it is a fantastic amp, better than the Go-Vibe 5. A gain of 5 would be too high for me, I would prefer a gain of 2-3 specially w/ Grado. Good luck.

Brad, i have the Mini3 with a gain of 5 (high performance version).
I would highly recommend it with the Hd650.

Best amp for the price. Period.

It will take the HD650s to a whole new level.

Mrarroyo - how would you compare the mini3 to the leckerton that you recently spent time with? I'm mainly concerned with the amp portions, the dac and adj gain on the leckerton are nice but care most for. Sq impressions.

I preferred the Mini^3 by a fair margin over the UHA-3. I hope Leckerton Audio can tweak the UHA-3 a bit to get better sound out of it, because it has great potential.

That is somewhat disappointing about the uha-3, because it does have a nice bunch of features... Its nice when the recommendation is the cheaper option, I wish that happened more often.

is this when used as an amp only or as a DAC/amp combo (UHA-3)?
