Min. Optical Cable Length Limitation

Hi,

Some Optical transceivers have a min. cable lenght limitation and with some of them it might be even better to have longer cables (3 m. instead of 10 cms, for example). Does this apply to the usual toslink interface too?

I belive that it does and that the recommendation is 2 meters but my memory may be a little hazy.
