I tried to find some info about this headphone amplifier, but couldn't find anything...

Does anyone have any experience with that amp?

The price is extremely low (48 euros (+shipping from germany 35e)), so it would be more than suitable for my budget.

As I suspected... no-one has even heard of this model.

Well, that can lead to only one conclusion; it's crap.

The case "alone" is worth the asking price... for 45 euros I'd buy it and give it a go. It "looks" extremely" good for the money and has 2 balanced outputs and outboard wall wart.

Just because nobody replied to your query doesn't mean to say this amp is "crap" you could have introduced a very good amp...... I'm going to see if they ship to the UK, at that price it's too good to miss.

If it turns out the circuit is pretty naff, who cares? you've got a ready made, good looking case that can be worked on. If the Germans are anything to go by though this will prove to be a well engineered, solid piece of kit.

Never heard of it but will be ordering a few tomorrow for sure.

Just queried them on UK price and it came up as £29.10 including delivery.

Seems worth that from the look of things

Hold on................

Done! just ordered one..... delivery between 4 - 7 days

Oh.... confirmation e-mail

Looks like I'll be reviewing this amp pace........ give me a couple of weeks and I'll report my findings and will upload it's guts to my website.

First impressions from the picture are "buy me, I'm worth the money for my case and pot alone"

Keep in mind that this is a mono amp, and therefore it is not useful for serious listening.

The website isn't really clear on that point. The rear of the HP-1 has L and R inputs and outputs, which would seem to indicate stereo. The other Millenium amps such the HP-3 says the same stuff (3 channel 350mw each) as opposed to one channel @350 Mw on the HP-1. The HP3 says: "headphone jack stereo". The HP-1 doesn't. Verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry confusing.

Have you gotten the amp yet?

I have the amp since a couple of weeks. I had Creek OBH-11 before but it was broken.
I have this amp together with Sennheiser HP595. I find them very good. Even if I had another combination with Creek I can't say that Creek was better.
I still have Philips HP890 that I also had with Creek, and in my memory the sound is rather alike.
Sound memory is bad, as you know. And I can't to A-B tests. But I would be surprised if anybody would be disappointed with this headamp.
Perhaps I have no "golden ears", but I have listened to headphones every day since Sennheiser HP414 about 1965.
I recommend giving them a chance.

I once had owned this amp.
The sound is strong but not so sophisticated than other audio headphone amplifier (e.g. CORDA HA1). I've never used it for listening again.
There is a 072 OPamp SMD inside.
Of course it's Stereo.

The HP-1 costs Eur45.
The Corda HA-1 costs Eur 375.
Thats more than 8 times more.

Better compare the HP-1 to a META42 or a PIMETA or another product in a similar price range.
