OK, I got my snazzy Chaintech card, but now I can't play games with my microphone headset. I have the pink mic cable plugged into the pink socket and the headphone plugged into the socket farthest from it. I can hear sound, but I can not transmit. Do I have to change something in the Via Vinyl software? I am using the 5.12 drivers. I have selected 2 channel for this and nothing is muted.

Try to fiddle with settings in Recording and Source tabs.

Does anything happen at all if you speak loudly?
Does the card have an internal mic preamp? Seems unikely. Then you will need a separate preamp unless you have a line-level headset microphone.

I have fiddled with all of the little buttons and tabs in the software and had no luck. I am sure there is someone out there who plays games and uses their microphone with this card.

Mr. Radar is correct. I use my onboard sound for my mic

For teh 1.43d drivers: in Via Audio Deck goto the digital tab and uncheck "high sample rate mode" or for the 3.10a's: select the regular 2 Channel mode and not the 2 Channel High Sample Rate mode.
