I have a microamp and microdac, but cannot find the on/off switch. do people leave it on at all times? or do you have to unlplug the power cable whenever not in use. I having the red LED's on at all times. Thoughts?

With the Micro DAC (and perhaps also the Micro amp) your choice is between AC and battery power. So if you don't have batteries installed as is my case, switching to batteries turns it off. If you have bateries installed, the only way to switch it off is to switch it to AC power and unplug it.

Leaving it always on (AC power) shouldn't be a big problem though.

Other amps do this as well. My RSA XP-7 has an on/off switch, but "off" = no batteries (i.e. mains power). Confused the hell out of me at first.

YEs, when plugged in, I leave the micro amp on external all the time.

You could also get an in-line power cord with an on-off switch.
Plug both units in, and turn both on or off at one time.

Or a surge protector w/ an on/off switch.

Yes! I use a $5 strip from Lowes.

It would be nice if there was a dedicated ON/OFF switch but that would cost more than the simple solution...which is only needed if batteries are installed.
