I've been reading a little but I am a bit confused as to what the Mic/Line/Hi-Z is on the 0404. Are the sort of universal inputs or outputs?
Are they compatable with a 1/4 stereo jack for a mic imput?

In theory its just a amp-able line in.

You can connect your mic with either a 1/4" TS (mono) or a XLR connector.
If it is stereo sound you require then you will have to use a (custom) cable (TRS -> TS + TS).

And yes they should be compatible with regular mic plugs
