Not sure if there is something wrong with my Senheisser PC 350s but most likely not since the front audio ports work with my mic... the back audio port wont pic up my mic for some reason at all, does anyone happen to know if I could be missing something or is the card just faulty?

I know this thread is a tad old and you may have figured it out, but make sure your have microphone selected as the default device. Microphone2 is the front panel connection.

I had the same problem since upgrading to Win8.  Used to work fine in Windows 7.  I gave up, enabled my onboard sound, and use the mic on that.

Solution?  Downgrade to windows 7 I guess.  Last time I searched the web, I couldn't find anything.

Assuming its the same as an X-Fi open "Creative Audio Control Panel", "Flexijack" tab, and switch the mode from "Line-In" to "Microphone".
