I'm not sure about this one, but I 'm selling my MG Head OTL. It has the ugly tube cage. Also includes well over $100 worth of upgraded tubes. (mullard, Ei, JJ and RCA) I purchased this direct from Divergent when this amp became available. I'm asking $380 for everything. I was wondring if anyone has tried various IC's with an MG Head (OFC copper, silver, or copper/silver) and what they think. I use Straightwire Crescendos on my hifi system and REALLY like them. Any opinions???

Clou Red + HD600 + MG Head may be an option. I pesonally like the detail of the matched (orginal) cord, the Red gives a lot of muscle, perhaps becase of the gauge; it is of course also a tad awkward, and, to my ears, the detail is lo(s)t in the muscle. Triple insulation, hummm.

The Ety 4S, on the other hand, really sings, fired with the Head, 'rodded with a Telefunken, and EL84s. She's my baby!

ICU, you are so right! The Ety 4S sounds phenomenal with the MG Head. This might even be the best combo in all of Headphonedom.
