Anybody using the "OTL" headphone output on the MG Head's?

Yes, exclusively. I pair my mgh/otl with HD600's, and that's definitely the preferred hole.

I always have my HD580s in the OTL jack.

This is weird a few months ago no one would use the OTL. It does pump up the bass, but sort of dulls the midrange. This thread's result is just opposite as I remeber.

Lextek: The thing is, when I listened to the mg head at the WOH tour, I really prefered the transformer over the OTL. A few people told me that was because the OTL really begins to shine with better tubes. Can anyone else confirm this?

Haven't listened to my Head OTL in a while but I recall the trans out had better detail so I use it when I'm listening to instrumental. OTL had better bass. Hmm...or maybe it was the other way around.
